Practice information



Islington House Medical Centre is a family-based primary health-care General Practice that has been serving the local population of Liverpool for over since 1937.

The current Partnership has been in place since 2016. We have a passion to provide a optimal standard of healthcare to our patients.

The practice has recently relocated to a modern purpose built NHS building based at Everton Road Health Centre.

We offer a caring and comprehensive service to all of our patients, and we embrace close co-operation with Secondary Care and Community services to ensure that you receive the best possible overall care. As well as providing GP services we are also offer Minor Surgery. 

All of our clinicians and staff are fully qualified, and the quality of the service we provide is reflected in the performance figures that are published both locally and nationally. Our current Principal GP Partner is Dr. Tristan Elkin along with Partners Dr Sunil Dayaram, Dr James Cuthbert, Dr Lucille Joyes and Dr Helen O'Connor.

Clinicians

We are a a family-based primary health-care General Practice with GP Partners, as well as regular sessional GPs, a Physicians Associate, GP Registrars and Foundation Doctors working at the practice. In addition to the doctors, we have an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, who can help with minor ailments and prescribe and refer as appropriate.

Nursing team

We also have a nursing team which is made up of practice nurses. They are here to deal with a whole range of appointments including annual reviews of long-term health conditions, diagnostic procedures, and contraceptive care. We currently have no Healthcare Assistants.

General Medical Services (GMS) contract

The practice team deliver a full range of clinical services under our General Medical Services (GMS) contract with NHS England.
